Our Community and Competitions
We are a creative writing competition community that challenges our competitors to respond to creative writing prompts every few months. We hope our writers become more confident in their own craft as they expand their writing skills, get more exposure and experience to different writing formats and writing styles, and have fun along the way.

Our Mastermind competitions are free to join and no application is needed. In all our competitions, writers have 30 or 60 days to respond to one prompt per season. The three writers with the highest scores will have the opportunity to have their work showcased on our website exemplar page.

Interested in what kind of prompts we offer and how well our contestants do? Check out our exemplars written by past contestants from older seasons. Each displayed work consists of a score breakdown, the writing prompt the writer responded to, and written feedback from our judges.

Every submission must be fully written in English.

Plagiarism or any use of generative AI technology is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate disqualification.

Your submission must be attached as a PDF or Word Doc. The maximum file size is 500 MB. We will not accept links to Google Docs.
